I’ve sent my first message and to my surprise, he responded the same night with an answer. He told me that he was single and that he didn’t plan to be much longer now that he was hearing from me. I thought that was sweet. It was enough to begin communication on a regular basis. The back and forth responses led to the exchange of numbers. Text messages were a daily part of our communication. He would always tell me to have a good day in the morning through his text messages. This communication was great because it allowed me to get to know so much more. We had conversations on a nightly basis until I felt comfortable enough to date.
And so we finally met in person…
He had been asking me out since our very first phone conversation and I kept putting it off. I guess it just all seemed so fast. Part of me wanted to say yes without any type of hesitation. After all, I did contact him first. The least that I could do was meet the man for dinner if that is what he wanted. I just wanted a little more time to find out who he was and what he was about. This made everything so much easier when I finally did say yes. I was still nervous when we met, but I would have really been a wreck if I had not waited a little longer.
When I met him I have to say that he did not disappoint. He was as handsome as the man I saw in the picture. It doesn’t always work out this way.
